Private transfer and chauffeur service from Vienna International Airport Schwechat (VIE) to all Vienna destinations and beyond — city centre, Austria Center Vienna, Hofburg, UN Vienna, VIECON, Budapest, Prague, Bratislava, and all European destinations. Flight tracking included. Meet and greet in the arrivals hall. From September 2026, private chauffeur is the most reliable VIE-to-city transfer option following major rail disruptions.
Vienna International Airport, located in Schwechat approximately 18 kilometres east of the city centre, is Central Europe's most important international hub. It handles over 29 million passengers annually, connecting Vienna to over 200 destinations on six continents. For business and diplomatic travellers, VIE is notable for its concentration of direct long-haul routes — including non-stop connections from North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa — making it the entry point for a significant volume of intercontinental arrivals for UN, IAEA, OPEC, and OSCE meetings in Vienna.
A significant operational note for 2026 and 2027: from 7 September 2026 through the end of October 2027, major renovation works on the S-Bahn main line between Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Praterstern will disrupt the S7 train service from the airport, and the City Airport Train (CAT) will operate a replacement bus service to Wien Mitte. For any passenger carrying luggage, attending a congress, or requiring reliable schedule adherence, private chauffeur will be the only fully dependable door-to-door option from VIE during this extended disruption period.

From 7 September 2026 through late October 2027, major railway modernisation works will close the S-Bahn main line between Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Praterstern. This affects the S7 airport train route. The City Airport Train (CAT) will operate a premium replacement bus service between VIE and Wien Mitte instead of a train during this period, significantly extending transit times and eliminating the reliability advantage of the rail connection. For congress delegates, diplomatic visitors, and any passenger with luggage arriving at or departing from VIE during this 14-month period, private chauffeur is the most practical and reliable option.

Under normal conditions, the journey from Vienna Airport (VIE) to the 1st District takes approximately 20 to 35 minutes by private chauffeur via the A4 motorway. During weekday peak hours (07:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00), expect 40 to 55 minutes. To VIECON, Austria Center Vienna, and the UN campus, the journey is typically 18 to 28 minutes as these venues are close to the airport side of the A23 ring.
From 7 September 2026 until late October 2027, the CAT train service will be replaced by a bus service between VIE and Wien Mitte due to S-Bahn mainline renovation works. This significantly extends journey times and reduces reliability for the rail option. Private chauffeur is the most practical door-to-door option from VIE for this extended period.
